Enhancement ABC130: Sales Orders Prioritized Batch Posting.
This enhancement allows the user to designate a priority level for each Sales Order, and then batch post multiple orders using any one of the following approaches:
- Standard Navision batch processing without a priority level filter.
- Batch process only orders that are identified with a priority level filter.
- Batch process only orders with sufficient on-hand quantities to
"ship complete" all lines of the order.
- Batch process only orders identified with a priority level filter and with sufficient on-hand quantities to "ship complete" all lines of the order.
- Batch process orders identified with a priority level filter first, then the remaining orders in priority level order.
A new field called "Priority" has been added to the Sales Order Header screen below the "Sell-to Contact" field. This new field can be left blank, or a posting priority of any number between 1 and
999999 can be entered.
Selecting the "Post Batch" option from the Posting drop-down menu presents the following selection windows below:

The following will result from filter entry or check box selection during batch processing:
- If no filter is entered and no check box is selected, standard batch processing will occur.
- Entering a priority level (Example: 1 or 2..3 or 1|3|5) in the "Priority" field will process only orders that have these levels in the Sales Order header priority field.
For Example, if the user enters "1" in the Priority filter of the Batch Post Sales Order tab, only orders that have a priority level of "1" in the Priority field in the Sales Order header screen will be posted. If "2..3" is entered, only orders with either a priority level of "2" or "3" will be posted.
- Selecting the check box "Process only if Sufficient Qty-on-Hand" will not process an order if any line item "Qty to Ship" is less than the item "Quantity on Hand". The system will only ship orders where full quantities are available to be shipped for each and every line item.
- If both the Priority filter is entered and the "Process only if Sufficient Qty-on-Hand" box is selected, only the orders with the corresponding priority levels and those with a sufficient item quantity-on-hand will be posted.
- Selecting the check box "Process Priority 1st Then All Records" will process all orders with selected priorities first, and then process all other open orders.
