Sage Software, Inc., a leading U.S. provider of mid-range business management software, has announced the release of the latest enhancements for Sage MAS 90 and MAS 200 that empowers Sage customers with increased Web navigation integration and powerful new shipping capabilities. The enhancements include an updated, web-friendly Launcher that streamlines Internet navigation and puts critical information readily at hand for busy executives and accounting staff.

At the heart of the new version of MAS 90 and MAS 200 is the Launcher, which displays HTML pages and can be used to browse the Internet right from inside the MAS 90 product. A familiar drag-and-drop interface provides simple Launcher customization for users at all experience levels and makes viewing and editing company data as easy as the click of a mouse. The Launcher also allows users to create a custom task menu that can be minimized to reveal only their assigned tasks, making it even easier to keep track of important information.

At the heart of the new shipping capabilities is a bi-directional link with StarShip, the industry-leading shipping software that supports each of the major shipping carriers. The StarShip link will additionally compare prices from major carriers to find the best possible rate, and supports third-party parcel insurance coverage, creating significant savings.

In addition to the new integrated shipping module, level 3.6 also introduces a host of powerful shipping capabilities for customers in the distribution industry who wish to separate shipping functions from accounting and invoicing functions. The shipping enhancements provide individual package content tracking and detailed package tracking history.

A second phase of releases of software designed for Microsoft SQL Server will help round out the product offering of MAS 200 for SQL. Virtually all MAS 200 modules will now be available for SQL, including Business Alerts, e-Business Manager and ACT! Link. Finally, based on research and customer requests, hundreds of additional enhancements have been made to workflow and usability, making MAS 90 even more intuitive and easy to use.
