In today’s economy, businesses of every size and all industries are trying to capitalize on the opportunities presented by collaboration. The key to taking advantage of these new opportunities is an IT infrastructure that makes it possible for companies to interact with their business partners electronically. With the Navision Attain 3.10.a product offerings, we are strengthening our customers’ opportunities for B2B collaboration.
This is also the first release to incorporate a United States and a Canadian version into one database, the North American version.
New and Improved Functionality
One North American product with both Canadian and U.S. functionality in one database helps customers realize their full potential. With one database, customers that have operations in both countries can use one common solution for their country specific needs, such as Sales Tax and GST. The objective of this initiative is to provide NSCs and Navision customers the best possible product for one of the largest markets in the world.
Some of the new features are:
Document Logging - Ability to save a version of each Navision Attain document. Benefit: Preservation of historical information and all documents sent to external parties can be retrieved.
Commerce Portal - Leverages the Internet to streamline interactions with vendors and customers. Benefit: Improves your responsiveness to vendor and customer demands, which makes it convenient for supply-chain partners to do business with you by reducing costs through automated commerce interactions.
User Portal - Instantly increases employee productivity. Benefit: Helps your company instantly and cost-efficiently deploy a Web-based interface that allows employees to improve their efficiency and make better business decisions.
Commerce Gateway - lets you easily take advantage of new opportunities for business-to-business collaboration. Benefit:
Participate as a supply chain partner cost-effectively to accommodate the changing requirements of any partner quickly by using Microsoft’s BizTalk Server to orchestrate business processes smoothly, both within and between business organizations.
Application Server - Connect other applications to real-time data and business logic within Navision Attain. Benefit: Look in one place for up to-date information without going through batch processes, knowing that the data is valid due to the Application Server's ability to execute the Navision Business Logic.
