Melville, NY - June 28, 2004 - A. B. Computer Systems, Inc. has been selected by A. K. Allen Company, Inc. to implement Microsoft® Business Solutions - Navision® and to provide all related implementation services for its three Mineola, NY based companies: Allenair, Allen Avionics, and Precision Disk Grinding.
Established in 1947 by A. K. Allen, Allenair is one of the oldest, privately held Fluid Power Manufacturers in the United States. Primary product lines are: Pneumatic Cylinders, Rotary Index-Tables, and a wide range of Pneumatic Valves. Allenair sells to many different industries through a distribution network in the U.S. and abroad.
Allen Avionics is a major U.S. manufacturer of precision LC filters and electro-magnetic delay lines for the electronics industry. Their products can be found in electronic equipment that is used in video studios, satellite communication systems, and similar industries. Its customer base includes: Industrial/OEM, Aerospace, Broadcast/Studio, Medical, TV Stations, Military, Government and Educational.
Precision Disk Grinding (PDG) specializes in grinding items received from customers to very tight tolerances (ultra-precision grinding). PDG is ISO 9001 certified and it services different industries such as Food, Automotive and the U.S. Government.
All three A. K. Allen companies are running their current business software on Unix and Linux platforms. The new Microsoft Navision system will run on a Windows 2003 Server based network, with Windows XP client workstations.
For a few months, A. K. Allen conducted an extensive search for a new integrated Accounting, Manufacturing and Distribution system that was more flexible, functional, and easy-to-use than their current system. The company main goals for the new system were to increase productivity and efficiency, reduce paper flow, increase inventory accuracy, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, and increase profits and market share.
After a careful review and analysis of the leading software products for mid-size businesses, and detailed interviews with numerous software integration companies, A. K. Allen chose to implement the Microsoft Business Solutions Navision software.
A. B. Computer Systems was selected to supply Microsoft Navision and to provide all installation, integration, training, consulting, project management, customer support, programming and testing services.
The following Microsoft Navision applications will be implemented: Sales & Receivables, Purchases & Payables, Manufacturing, Capacity Planning, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and General Ledger.
